Doctors attending on Satya Sai Baba on Tuesday described the health of the spiritual guru to millions of people across the globe as ‘stable’, adding that he continues to be on ventilator support.

“All his vital systems are in a stable condition,” said a statement by the Director of the Satya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences. “His health continues to be in the same condition as on Monday, but his levels of consciousness have improved considerably. Satya Sai Baba continues to be on assisted ventilation through ventilator and CRRT,” the medical bulletin issued by the Institute.

Satya Sai Baba was admitted to the Institute, a super-speciality hospital at Puttaparthi on March 28.

Meanwhile, Section 144 has been imposed in the area after some of the godman’s followers, agitated over not being allowed to meet him, smashed the windscreen of the district Collector’s car on Monday.

The security here has been increased with additional police personnel to ensure that the situation does not turn explosive.
