VVS Lakshman gets PADMA SHRI

Finally, Indian Government recognized the finesse in our stylish wristy batsman VVS Lakshman and awarded him with Padma Shri for the year 2011. The invaluable services rendered by Lakshman and especially his heroism in fourth innings of test matches handed the victory to Indian team many a times placing Indian Test Squad as Number One in the World. Though it was a bit late but contribution of Lakshman to Indian cricket is rightly rewarded.
