Govt to recruit 1,434 excise constables soon

At a review meeting held with senior officials on the issue of recruitment of Excise constables at the Secretariat, the Chief Minister said the Excise Department could go ahead with the recruitment of 1,434 constables as approved by the Finance Department. The candidates who appeared for the recruitment in 1994 which were later aborted and went on appeal to the Court will be given certain relaxation in physical efficiency test and  age. Principal Secretary, Revenue (Excise) Ashutosh Mishra, Commissioner, Excise, Hiralal Samaria and other officials attended the meeting.
