Arpana, aged 22 years completed her MS in USA died in road accident when a truck ploughed into their car from behind near Kenlake of Nashville. Arpana's twin sister Archana who is in the same car slipped into coma with multiple fractures. Parents, G. Ravinder and G. Anitha residing in General Bazar, Secunderabad who were eagerly awaiting for their daughters' return to India in the next few months for marriage went into deep tragedy hearing the news yesterday night.
Both the sisters, along with another friend were on the rear seat of the car at the time of accident. Death was instant for Arpana, while Archana, just 10 minutes younger to her reportedly sustained fractures on head and spinal cord and was shifted to Venderhilt Medical Centre, Nashville. A woman on the rear seat and two others on the front, escaped with minor injuries.
'All of us are traumatised as nothing is known about Archana except that she is critical. Our relatives living in U.S. have already headed to Nashville. We are waiting for an update from them,' a relative said.
