Two robbers attempt to snatch cash

Hyderabad, Sept 9 :

An attempt by two men to snatch  cash of Rs 6.18 lakh from a customer, who withdrew the  amount  was foiled by fortuitous  circumstances. The incident took place at the State Bank of India branch in Katedas, near Mehadipatnam in the city on Wednesday. The customer after drawing an amount of Rs 6.18 lakhs  was encountered by two men in the precincts  of the bank. One of the two men diverted attention of the customer while the other snatched the cash bag and tried to flee the spot.

Meanwhile the victim caught  hold of one person  and raised an alarm. The two culprits tried to flee from the spot on a bike  but to their misfortune  a lorry coming in the opposite direction foiled their attempt. They left the cash bag and ran away from the scene. Mehdipatnam police have registered a case.
