The Government has decided to fill up 4,582 vacant posts under various categories in the Revenue department, said Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao.
The 4,582 vacant posts include 266 VROs, 676 typists, 295 Junior Assistants, 1,476 Senior Assistants and 66 Deputy Tahsildars in Revenue department. The typist posts and Junior Assistant posts would be brought under same cadre.
The basic eligible qualification for the posts would be graduation with required computer knowledge. During the review meeting with the CM on Thursday the Chief Secretary was directed to take steps to implement the ‘new qualification’ in all departments. For Senior Assistant posts, the computer knowledge would be made compulsory. Further, the officials were directed to prepare guidelines on qualification and the type of computer knowledge required to the posts.
“A committee headed by Chief Secretary with one police official, finance department officer and engineer has been setup to prepare plan for setting up of comprehensive complexes where the Tahsildar offices were in dilapidated condition in the state. The Committee has been directed to submit its report in 45 days. The idea of comprehensive Complexes were nothing but setting up of Sub-Register office, Treasury office and police station in a single complex”, the Revenue Minister said.
