Flop Director To Direct The Sequel Of Bimbisara 2

Nandamuri Kalyanram who is known for his knack for selecting unique scripts and delivering super hits has scored a blockbuster last year with Bimbisara. The film is based on time travel laced with emotional and commercial elements and became one of the biggest hits in NKR's career and also one of the most profitable films from Tollywood. Vasishtha has made his debut as a director and won accolades for the way he made Bimbisara.

Kalyanram himself produced the film and announced that there will be a sequel for Bimbisara even before its release. Makers recently once again clarified that the works for Bimbisara 2 are going on and it will be started soon once Kalyanram has completed his ongoing Devil shoot. 

But, the latest news is Bimbisara director Vasishtha is now no more helming its sequel. The reason behind this is, as Vasishtha got an offer to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi, he is busy preparing a script for his film. As Kalyanram is busy with Devil and by the time he completes it and gets ready for Bimbisara 2, Chiranjeevi's film might also begin at the same time. To avert this clash Vasishtha decided to step away from Bimbisara 2. 

Though he is not directing the Bimbisara sequel, the story is provided by Vasishtha himself and he is involved in every step of the film's script. He continues to provide his support for the film. The new director who will direct Bimbisara 2 is its VFX Supervisor Anil Paduri. Anil earlier directed Romantic with Akash Puri. Anil has been working in a VFX company owned by Kalyanram for a long time. So, Kalyanram also gave the green signal for Anil as a director. Catherine Tresa and Samyuktha Menon who played as female leads will continue in the sequel too.
