Shamlee on why she isn't doing films

Shamlee shared her feelings on why she is not doing films. It is known that Shamlee as a child actress starred in many blockbuster films She starred in all the top stars film in the south and became a lucky hand weaving a web of magic with her cute looks and dialogues.

She tried her luck as a female lead in couple of films but did not pursue her career as an actress.Speaking to scribes, Shamlee shared why she is not doing any films. She is now pursuing her hobby and is coming up with an art exhibition in June.

She said  “I was doing my master’s in film production in Singapore, and that’s when I randomly picked up an interest in art. It’s not something that I have been doing since childhood, but a passion that I developed lately. ” She starred in a couple of films in 2016 and said  “I shot for Tamil, Telugu, and a Malayalam film around that time. But then, I used to take a break every four months after each project only to travel and learn art. In fact, I used to take sketch pens, anatomy books, and other art-related stuff to film shoots. Many didn’t understand it then or encourage it. In fact, many people in the industry asked me to concentrate on films and pursue art at a later stage in life. But I somehow felt art was my calling,”

She said artist AV. Elangov trained and honed her skills. She recently showcased her art at the World Art in Dubai. On whether she would star in the films, Shamlee says “I have done a lot of films as a child artiste since the age of two, and I am tired of it. I started exploring things only after my schooling, and I was never keen on pursuing my profession as an actor. There was also pressure and advice from many that if I am not acting, I am doing something wrong in my life. That is why I happily took a break. I may do something related to films soon, but I’m not taking up acting any time soon. I am currently concentrating on my art and pursuing it,”
