Bollywood is currently raving about South films and now star director Anurag Kashyap speaking to scribes shared how he discovered the South.
He shared "I am a massive fan of both Kamal and Rajinikanth and my discovery of South started with their films. That's when I started exploring more of the southern cinema and also got to watch Chiranjeevi's movies. I like Tamil cinema much more than the films that are made in Bollywood due to the fact that people here like to do what they want. For instance, i recently saw a glimpse of Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan and i immediately felt that we don't make visuals like these in Hindi cinema."
He added he got offers from many south directors after Ajay Gnanamuthu's film but added that he refused most of them. Continuing he shared "But i am currently shooting for a project with Vijay Sethupathi,"
He thanked Mani Ratnam for coming out with many thought-provoking films and raved about the way he showed Bombay city in Bombay.
