Vikram analyses why PS1 didn't appeal across the country

Mani Ratnam's dream project Ponniyin Selvan is made in two parts and the second part is releasing on 28 April 2023. The film's first part which released sometime back failed to connect chords with movie lovers across the country except in Kollywood.

Now Chiyaan Vikram speaking to scribes analysed why Ponniyin Selvan 1 failed to appeal to movie lovers across the country. He said "The confusion is about the names. I could not get some of the names. So, I can imagine. Dubbing was a torture. Also, most of the audience is not familiar with us," 

Karthi shared ' I had to explain the story to my friends. I sent them WhatsApp forwards about the gist of the story, After that they were able to follow. In Part 2, they have taken an effort to recap the events. The faces are also familiar. PS 1 did enough to setup (the world). I think, the second part will be a lot easier to follow," the Sardar actor told India Today.in

Ponniyin Selvan has a star cast of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Sobhita Dhulipala in important roles while Rahman scored the music.
