Rashmika Mandanna lands in another controversy after her insulting comments on the south and the south songs. Ever since Rashmika Mandanna started setting her sights on making it big in Bollywood, she started making statements to please Bollywood and in the process is creating huge controversies. Rashmika Mandanna sometime back said that she did not watch Kantara and this triggered a huge controversy and many called for a ban on Sandalwood. Despite her damage control acts, no one believed her.
Now, Rashmika landed in another controversy and this time she commented on south songs and films. While promoting her upcoming Bollywood film Mission Majnu which stars Siddharth Malhotra in lead and racing for grand streaming on 19 January 2023 said "Bollywood romantic songs were a thing. For me, while growing up, romantic songs meant Bollywood numbers. In South, we have mass masala, item numbers and dance numbers. This is my first Bollywood romantic song. I am so excited because it's so good (sic)."
Netizens started abusing her on social media in the following way.
“This is why Kannada people hate her. She speaks without even thinking properly (sic).” Another user wrote, “She might be wrong in stereotyping the industries but as fans we all are proud of our masala and item numbers, which pump up the adrenaline in the movie. I understand not liking the stereotype as Telugu melodies are unmatched, but this bashing is shameful (sic).”
