Gunasekhar out of his dream project

Director Gunasekhar is known for his extravaganza and mythological dreams. His upcoming project Shakuntalam is generating immense interest among movie lovers. Gunasekhar came up with the historical film Rudramadevi and during that time, planned to come up with a mythological film Hiranyakasyapa. This time he planned to take the project on a large scale and teamed with star producer Suresh Babu. For more than two years they traveled together and though rumors spread in between that the project had been shelved, the duo rubbished them. The presence of Rana in the lead role excited all.

Suresh Babu gave serious thought to making the film with his son Rana and spend a whopping Rs 200crs. Gunasekhar also worked seriously researching the story and working on the script. But for some reason, Gunasekhar concentrated on Shakuntalam. Many felt that Suresh Babu who is known for his business acumen felt that such a whopping budget is untenable fo the project.

Now Suresh Babu gave a huge shock to everyone. He announced that the Hiranyakasyapa project is very much on under his production house but another director will be helming it. Many thought that Gunasekhar will ultimately direct the project and some other banner may enter. This because Hiranya Kasyapa is Gunasekhar's dream project and he readied the story and the script and after which Suresh  Babu entered the scene. It has to be seen how Gunasekhar will react to it.
