Will 'Shakthi' s(h)ave Ashwini Dutt?

Ashwini Dutt’s Vyjayanthi Banner, known for lavishness in their products is going all out for their next movie ‘Shakthi’ in the direction of Meher Ramesh. With an estimated budget of Rs.30 to 35 crores; Junior NTR and their team were set on very long schedules alround the world. As per the talk from few close sources with in the film industry, with nearly half of the shoot completed for 'Shakthi', there are early signals that budget would shoot out to around Rs.50 crores which is highest considered even by the standards of Vyjayanthi.

With the kind of market prevailing and Vyjayanthi’s key names in production department staying away from shooting in foreign locales, Ashwini Dutt is known to be facing a daunting task in completion of ‘Shakthi.’ Though Rs.40 to 50 crores may not be a life n death figure for a producer like Dutt Garu yet when looked from an unified and individual product point of view, it is a risky stunt.

If ‘Shakthi’ needs to stand on its craze, lot depends on ‘Brindavanam’ from Junior NTR which is also made on quite a good budget. Will Junior NTR’s craze do the magic again saving Dutt Garu or not? Let us wait and see.
