It's Vijay Vs Ajith Again After 8 Years

Vijay and Ajith Kumar are two biggest stars of Kollywood. Whenever their film gets released, it's a festive atmosphere at the theatres with fans massive celebrations. Vijay and Ajith's films were released on the same day more than ten times so far. Friends - Dheena in 2001, Pokkiri - Alwar in 2007 and Jilla - Veeram in 2014 were released on the same day fo Pongal. 

This mighty clash is about to happen again after 8 Years. Vijay's Varisu, Varasudu and Ajith's Thunivu are slated to release for Pongal, 2023. Varisu to release on January 22 where the release date of Thunivu is not finalised but it is confirmed to release for the festival. It will be a blast at the boxoffice when these two heroes films got released  lon the same date. 

Ajith's last film Valimai was released in February whereas Vijay's last film was Beast released in April this year. Both the films register huge openings but turned out to be average to above average grossers in the long-run. Varisu and Thunivu are riding high on expectations. Varisu is directed by Vamshi Paidipally produced Dil Raju while Thunivu is directed by H Vinoth who earlier worked with Ajith for Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai, produced by Boney Kapoor.
