Can Super Star and Star Director recreate the magic?

Super Star Rajinikanth enjoys a tremendous following among the masses and Maniratnam is known for his impactful and evergreen classics. The duo earlier created a sensation in form of Thalapathi. The film elevated the heroism of Rajinikanth and the towering presence of Mammootty and youthful exuberance of Aravind Swamy and the beautiful elegance of Shobhana turned the film into a classic. Not to forget is the songs tuned by Isaignani Ilayaraja.

According to the latest, it is coming out that Super Star Rajinikanth and star director Maniratnam will be coming together for an exciting project. Lyca Productions which produced Rajinikanth's Darbar at that time signed a two-film deal and planned to make another film with Rajini under the direction of Cibi Chakravarthy.

Now they have changed their plans and are contemplating to rope in Maniratnam to helm the project. If t his turns out to be true, it will be a delight to all the fans. Rajinikanth is currently busy with Jailer while Maniratnam is enjoying the success of Ponniyin Selvan.
