The dynamics and equations of filmmaking and even film-watching changed completely following the covid pandemic. People are not venturing out of their houses to the theatres even if films are getting hit talk. This surprising reverse trend is becoming the talk of the industry.

It is known that Tollywood makers offered a festive feast to movie lovers on Dasara. Chiranjeevi's Godfather, Nagarjuna's The Ghost, and Bellamkonda Ganesh's Swathimuthyam hit the screens. Ahead of the release, Nagarjuna's The Ghost generated immense hype and Chiranjeevi's Godfather was released amidst low buzz. Swathimuthyam was also released with no expectations.

While Chiranjeevi's Godfather got a hit talk, Ganesh's Swathimuthyam got a decent talk and Nagarjuna's The Ghost entertained action movie lovers. However, even after the hit talk, Godfather is struggling to reach breakeven despite the tall claims of the makers. This is completely different from the earlier trend when the film which gets an average to hit talk would pick up collections over the period of time. Now even if the film is getting a hit talk on the morning show, the film's talk is reducing by the end of the day. It has to be seen how the makers deal with this reverse phenomenon.
