Ranbir Kapoor,Alia Bhat's Brahmastra Part 1 Shiva which was released on September 9 is getting average to below average reviews from all quarters. Those who have watched the film felt that there are many similarities to Nikhil,Anupama Parameswaran's Karthikeya 2.

Here are the similarities between Brahmastra and Karthikeya 2 and how they are connected.

1. Just like Karthikeya 2 touched on Hindu sentiment dealing with Lord Krishna's relevance and connection to the current generation, Brahmastra touched up on various astras and their power, touching on the Hindu sentiment.

2. Just like in Karthikeya 2 how Nikhil and Anupama Parameswaran go across the country in search of a connection to Krishna's anklet, in Brahmastra, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt go across the country in search of a connection to astras.

3. In Karthikeya 2, Anupam Kher played the pivotal role in explaining the relevance of Lord Krishna to Nikhil, In Brahmastra, Amitabh Bachchan explains the relevance of Brahmastra to Ranbir Kapoor.
