Vijay Devarakonda dreamed of a sensation with Liger teaming with Puri Jagannath. He,using his immense fan following across the country and planned to set Bollywood on fire turning Liger. He promoted the film across the country and repeated the dialogues 'Aag Laga Denge', Vaat Laga Denge'. However, Puri Jagannath poured cold water on Vijay Devarakonda's dreams by turning him into a mere caricature and making a mockery of his towering physique and power-packed performance.

Even before the release of the film, Puri Jagannath was so confident that he lined up Jana Gana Mana with Vijay Devarakonda and announced the project in a spectacular manner in Mumbai. Puri had been planning the project for a long and had stars like Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu in mind but somehow the project did not take off.

Now after the Liger result, the question is will Vijay Devarakonda commit suicide powering Jana Gana Mana? Many say Vijay very cleverly put Jana Gana Mana on hold ahead of Liger's release and went ahead with the romantic entertainer Kushi.
