Tirupathi Controversy: Nayanthara-Vignesh Sivan tender an apology

Kollywood love birds Nayanthara and Vignesh Sivan entered into wedlock and then they decided to have the blessings of Lord Venkateswara at the holy shrine of Tirupathi. However, their spiritual trip landed in a huge controversy when they were seen indulging in a photo shoot outside the temple, and Nayanthara was seen wearing sandals much to the dismay of the devotees.

Devotees started questioning how could the temple authorities turn a blind eye to the blatant flouting of the sanctity of the temple premises. Temple authorities decided to take action against the couple.

With the controversy simmering, Nayanthara and Vignesh Sivan tendered an apology. They sent an apology letter and here is a copy of it.

“We have always wanted our marriage to happen in Tirupati but due to logistic reasons the event was not possible and we had to do our wedding in Chennai. To wholesomely complete our wedding we made sure we headed to Tirupati directly from the wedding venue to watch Sami Kalyanam and to receive the blessings of Sami Balaji. We had a wonderful darshan and wanted to take a picture outside the temple to have this day in our memory but due to the crowd and chaos, we had to exit and re-enter the premises. In the hurry, we did not realize our footwear.”
