Lokesh Kanagaraj said ' In Khaidhi, Delhi's background was not revealed. Delhi when he was in jail won many trophies playing the game of Kabaddi. Karthi is shown carrying a  bag in Khaidi. In the bag, Karthi will be carrying all those trophies. Khaidi 2 will be all about the interesting story and also has Kabaddi backdrop"
