It is known that Mahesh Babu was the first superstar to call Prashant Neel after he created a sensation with Yash's KGF1. Prashant Neel who got super thrilled prepared a high octane mass action entertainer and narrated it to Mahesh Babu. However, Mahesh Babu rejected the story. Inside talk is Prashant Neel narrated the same story to Prabhas and he readily signed it. The project Salaar happens to be the story Prashant Neel narrated to Mahesh Babu.

Mahesh Babu's are now wondering why their hero rejected the project after Prashant Neel stunned all with KGF2 which is shaking the box office. It is known that earlier Mahesh Babu missed Allu Arjun's Pushpa. Sukumar narrated Pushpa's story to Mahesh Babu but Mahesh Babu rejected it and Allu Arjun at once signed it and now he became a pan India star.
