Movie lovers and the Tollywood film industry is witnessing strange incidents in the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Ap government headed by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy targeted Pawan Kalyan and ensured that his films Vakeel Saab and Bheemla Nayak do not have a profitable run and so passed a shocking GO reducing the ticket rates in the theatres. The shocking reduction of ticket rates with a minimum of Rs 5 sent shivers down the spines of the filmmakers.

This forced the Tollywood filmmakers, producers, stars, distributors, exhibitors to virtual beg in front of not only Ap CM Jagan Mohan Reddy but also in front of the ministers, YSRCP leaders, etc. After the relentless torture and showing nightmares to all, the Ap government after Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak's run at the box office ensured a hike in ticket rates. This brought back normalcy as ticket rates reached the previous rates before the abnormal reduction. Rajamouli personally met CM Jagan and it ensured that the Ap government facilitated the hike in ticket rates by Rs 100 across all sections in theatres. Still, Tollywood filmmakers will dance to the tunes of the Ap CM Jagan and his government.

If this was the case in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana is witnessing a stark contrast. Telangana government is facilitating the hike in ticket rates in an astronomical manner. Already ticket rates in multiplexes are around Rs 300 and in single screens are over  Rs 100. While for the star heroes films, this is ok, even for small and unknown films the rates are the same shocking all. Now for RRR, the Telangana government allowed a hike in ticket rates once again. Many feel that the Telangana government headed by CM KCR is dancing to the tunes of Tollywood by twisting the filmgoers. The astronomical increase in ticket rates is scaring movie lovers.
