Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak is showing its power at the box office. The film which was released on February 25, 2022, is breaking records at the box office. However, it is known that the AP government headed by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has been going on a witch-hunting targeting the film. Entire government machinery went against the Bheemla Nayak and warned theatres of facing dire consequences if they do not implement the GO 35 which was quashed by the AP High Court. This forced the owners of many theatres to shut down expressing their inability to run the show.

In the midst of all this, Prakash Raj who is known for his frank talk came with a powerful take on the entire controversy. Sharing his feelings he posted "#BheemlaNayak .. #GovtofAndhrapradesh  please put an end to this onslaught..let cinema thrive  .#JustAsking"

He added ' Why is the government showing its attitude and arrogance using its machinery and power against the film industry which is known for creativity and technicality, How can people believe the Government's words that they are encouraging the industry when they are torturing terribly. Irrespective of the torture, no one can stop a film from getting encouragement and appreciation from the people. Why this witch hunting at the box office and any political differences should be fought in the political battle field'
