The AP government has stuck to its unilateral decision of increasing the retirement age to 62 and brought an ordinance on Monday, dumping the aspirations of lakhs of the unemployed youth.

The unemployed youth is already disgusted with the merely flawed governance in the AP as it has put the job recruitment notifications into cold storage. There have been no DSC recruitments nor SI & Constable selections for the past few years. On the flip side, students spent thousands and lakhs for coaching institutes for competitive exams. At this backdrop, Jagan Reddy adamantly let the ordinance comes into force from the 1st of January, 2022. This ordinance has now shut the doors of job opportunities for the unemployed for two more years.

It's learnt that the unemployed youth have decided to stage huge protests against the ordinance soon.

The employees have also been irked with the ordinance. "Who asked the government to bring this ordinance hastily? None of the employees was interested in this ordinance," they cried. The increase in retirement age leads to minimising the promotion opportunities for the employees. As most of the employees are not so healthy in 60+ age, none of them wishes to do the job in the old age. The employees have urged the government to take its decision back on retirement age so that unemployed youth would get job recruitments.

Jagan Reddy, however, is not in a position to pay heed to anyone. Perhaps, he will pay huge for his inflexible attitude.
