Kabir Duhan Singh's role in Shakuntalam revealed

Gunasekhar's Shakuntalam has been the cynosure of all eyes. Shakuntalam happens to be Gunasekhar's dream project and is based on Kalidas' Abhignana Shakuntalam and inspired by Adi Parva in Mahabharat. Samantha is playing the role of Shakuntala while Dev Mohan is playing the role of King Dushyant in this mythological entertainer.

Kabir Duhan Singh is playing an important role in the film. Speaking to scribes, Kabir Duhan Singh shared many secrets. He said he is playing the role of King Asura in the film and working under Gunasekhar's direction is liberating. He said he trained hard in sword fights and revealed that it came in handy when he fought with Dev Mohan in the climax which will be the highlight in the film.

He said Gunasekhar zeroed in for the role after knowing that he is a martial arts expert and confirmed the role after the look test. He said the war scenes were shot for ten days and with heavy armor and crown weighing 18 kgs, he even suffered bruises. He said however everything is worth it as he likes mythology for different dialogue delivery, gestures, and accent.

Mani Sharma is the music director for the film which stars Mohan Babu,Aditi Balan, Prakash Raj, Ananya Nagalla,Gautami,Kabir Bedi, Madhubala in important roles.
