The controversy over reduced ticket rates and the government officials raids on theatres resulted in many theatres getting closed. It is known that Ap govt officials seized theatres for flouting norms regarding Fire Safety Certificates Renewals and no Form-B license.
Now Ap govt finally gave a relief to theatre owners allowing them to reopen but gave one month time to get the required permissions and renewals. The theatre owners should file Applications with the Joint Collectors before reopening their screens.
This decision came after CinematogrAphy Minister Perni Nani held discussions with film distributors and exhibitors at the Secretariat. Telugu Distribution Council duly thanked minister Perni Nani and Ap CM Jagan Mohan Reddy for the section. Perni Nani during the meeting with the film distributors and exhibitors also held discussions regarding issues like ticket pricing, Approval of benefit shows, extension for renewing licences and no-objection certificate.
