Suresh Babu finds fault with the TS, AP governments

Tollywood is facing numerous issues and the outbreak of the corona pandemic worsened the situation. While theatres opened up with full capacity in Telangana, the AP government's decision regarding night curfew and 50% occupancy put spanners in the aspirations of the theatre owners in Andhra Pradesh. Now AP government brought in legislation bringing online ticketing portal, putting a cap on ticket prices, prohibiting benefit shows and additional shows.

Many remained silent over the last few days and recently Chiranjeevi requested the AP government to reconsider the decision. Now top producer Suresh Babu speaking to scribes, found fault with both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments He revealed that when the Tollywood celebrities met both the governments they responded favorably but all that turned out to be lip service.

He said because of these decisions, Tollywood will suffer very badly. He said the industry is paying electricity charges and property tax even when business is shut. AP Government gave three months exemption of Power charges but the G.O was not released and added the situation is same in Telangana. On OTT releases, he said he will not bother what others think and try to satisfy them as he cannot suffer losses in the final run.
