Many filmmakers announced Sankranti releases of their films ahead of Rajamouli's RRR. They include Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Alia Bhatt's Gangubhai Kathiawadi, Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak, Prabhas' Radhe Shyam. Rajamouli is trying his best to ensure that RRR will not have any competition at the box office during Sankranti.
His efforts materialized as the makers of Alia Bhatt's Gangubhai Kathiawadi and Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata vacated the Sankranti theatres for RRR and backed away from the direct fight. However, Prabhas and the makers of Radhe Shyam did not relent despite Rajamouli powered Prabhas to international recognition with his magnum opus Baahubali. What is surprising is even the makers of Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak are not relenting despite RRR makers trying to convince them.
To avert the Sankranti clash now biggies entered and Telugu Film Producers Guild arranged for a meeting between the producers of RRR, Radhe Shyam and Bheemla Nayak. Dil Raju who acquired the distribution rights of RRR in Nizam is trying his best to convince Bheemla Nayak makers to opt-out of the race and the producers guild is also promising its full support whenever the makers plan to release the film. RRR makers are of the opinion that a week gap between RRR and Radhe Shyam is fine and since both the films are of different genres, there will not be any impact but if Bheemla Nayak enters that race with high octane mass elements, then there will be definite dent in the collections. It ahs to be seen whether Radhe Shyam and Bheemla Nayak makers relent amidst RRR blitzkrieg.
