Sai Tej's brother Vaishnav Tej created a sensation with his debut project Uppena. The film turned out to be a blockbuster and from then Vaishnav Tej started getting flooded with offers from all quarters.

Vaishnav Tej decided to star in the direction of creative director Krish. The film is based on the novel Kondapalem authored by Sannapureddy Venkataramireddy. Vaishnav Tej is playing the role of a shepherd's son, who goes on to become a forest officer after completing his B.Tech. Rakul Preet Singh played the role of Obulamma in the film.

The film's release got delayed due to the corona pandemic which resulted in the incomplete VFX and CGI. According to the latest, the makers are planning to release the film on October 8th as the final output is ready. The film has extensive usage of graphics as the makers have to depict the wild animals in the forest backdrop using VFX and CGI.
