Tollywood is blessed with many talented actors and all have their own popularity. Let us see who could be the most creative and innovative star and the star who did more different genre roles in their career.
NTR and ANR did many different genre roles in their career. NTR did the roles of Gods, devotees and also did negative roles in mythological films. ANR did roles of devotees and mythological roles and both NTR and ANR did social, folklore, patriotic films. Kanta Rao mostly did folklore entertainers. Krishna did many experimental films and touched many unknown genres becoming the first hero in Tollywood.
The next generation saw the entry of Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, and Venkatesh. Venkatesh did mostly family-oriented films and Nagarjuna did romantic entertainers. Balakrishna mostly did mass entertainers except for films like Bhairava Dweepam, Aditya 369, Sri Rama Rajyam, and Panduranga Mahatyam. Nagarjuna in between did films like Annamayya, Shirdi Sai, Om Namo Venkatesa, etc.
Mega Star Chiranjeevi not only did high octane action entertainers but also did devotional entertainers like Sri Manjunatha. He also did classics like Rudra Veena, Aapadbhaandhavudu earning the hearts of all. He did patriotic entertainers like Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Chiranjeevi also did negative roles thus showing his repertoire for different genre roles.
Coming to the current generation, Mahesh Babu never experimented and he only starred in romantic and action entertainers. He did not even transform his look in any of his films. NTR to some extent starred in different genre entertainers like Yama Donga, Jai Lava Kusa and is now doing RRR. Prabhas is confined to doing mass action entertainers and romantic entertainers. Pawan Kalyan did action entertainers and is doing historical film Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
This leaves only Ram Charan and Allu Arjun. Allu Arjun did different genre roles and films. He also transformed his looks and also entertained with his dances and different accent in his films. He is now transforming completely with his film Pushpa. Ram Charan created a sensation in his second film itself as Magadheera. He surprised all with his performance in Rangasthalam. He is now starring in RRR. Even Varun Tej and Vaishnav Tej did different genre films.
This shows that Mega family heroes, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Varun Tej, Vaishnav Tej led by Mega Star Chiranjeevi are entertaining movie lovers coming out with the different genre entertainers doing creative and innovative roles.
