PM Great Gesture: August 14 Partition Horrors Remembrances Day

The dark history behind the partition of India was tried to be buried by the Congress party for many decades. But then, the ruling BJP is on a mission to unleash that forgotten dark history that witnessed the kind of great injustice done to one particular religious group.

On 14 August, 1947, a day in advance to the Indian Independence, Pakistan was said to have indulged in the brutal killings of lakhs of one particular group who were majorly populous in India. Also, several thousands of women were said to have molested by then. All this turmoil was due to one particular person who was badly misled as the nation's hero.

Finally, the PM Narendra Modi exhibited a right gesture declaring 14 August as the 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day'.

"Partition’s pains can never be forgotten. Millions of our sisters and brothers were displaced and many lost their lives due to mindless hate and violence. In memory of the struggles and sacrifices of our people, 14th August will be observed as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.

May the #PartitionHorrorsRemembranceDay keep reminding us of the need to remove the poison of social divisions, disharmony and further strengthen the spirit of oneness, social harmony and human empowerment," Modi tweeted.
