The AP film distributors and exhibitors have resolved to reopen theatres across the state from 31st of July. Though they have decided to screen the films, two crucial decisions taken by Jagan Reddy government make them panic over the losses to be incurred by them.
Although the YCP government permitted theatre screening of films, only50% occupancy is allowed which is in no way a welcome gesture from the government to get the exhibitors bailed out of their problems. Secondly, the idiotic G.O. No.35, which is considered to be a Tuglaquian G.O. by the critics, is dampening the spirits of the distributors and exhibitors as the G.O. suggests extremely lower pricing of tickets in rural areas which are not at all affordable to the exhibitors.
At this juncture, the YCP government is requested to scrap the controversial G.O.No.35. The government is hoped to the needful is done at the earliest.
