Maniratnam's Ponniyin Selvan poster brings golden era

Maniratnam's dream project Ponniyin Selvan has been hogging the limelight for quite some time. The makers resumed shooting by releasing a new poster that went viral on social media. The new poster highlighted the saying that the golden era coming back to life.

Ponniyin Selvan has a star-studded cast of Vikram, Aiswarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Ashwin Kakamanu in important roles. The film is based on Ponniyin Selvan's novel written by Kalki Krishnamurthy and Maniratnam many times went on record that it has been his dream to film the novel ever since he read it. Ponniyin Selvan is a story of Arulmozhi Varman and the Chola Dynasty. Rahman is the music director for the film.
