Yet another big initiative of Megastar Chiranjeevi, as part of his philanthropic activities, came into force on Wednesday. Chiranjeevi Oxygen Banks have been launched on a grand scale today. The services of the oxygen banks have already been kickstarted in Guntur, Ananthapur today while a big number of oxygen concentrators will be sent this evening to Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and West Godavari.
On the other hand, oxygen concentrators were sent to Khammam and Karim Nagar in Telangana and the services of these oxygen banks will be started from tomorrow.
Addressing the media, Chiranjeevi said he wouldn't like to see any person's death due to the scarcity of oxygen. Chiranjeevi divulged that the supervision of the oxygen banks will be done by Mega Power Star Ram Charan while the district fan association presidents would take up the responsibilities of organising the charitable act at district level. Chiranjeevi also said that bulk quantity of oxygen concentrators were ordered to China and received the same on time to cater the needs of patients.
Ever since attaining the stardom in early 1980s, Chiranjeevi has kept on doing social service to his best. And then, charitable activities of Chiranjeevi took a new turn when he started Chiranjeevi Blood and Eye Banks in 1998. Thereafter, Chiranjeevi has been contributing to the society extensively making crores of his fans raise their collars.
