Heroes and directors dominate

The trend in Tollywood is changed drastically. With stars calling the shots, producers are now reduced to the role of investors. His role is just to invest money whatever the stars and the directors dictate. 

From then on the directors and the stars decide. Even before the launch of the project, they decide on how many shares each one should get. While heroes feel that people come to theatres to see them, directors feel their talent is driving the films in theatres. So producers have no option but to pay whatever they demand. Apart from remuneration they also get their shares in profits. 

Already many stars launched their production ventures and are producing films as joint ventures. Few directors are running banners on their friend's names. Heroes and directors are cleverly investing their remunerations to produce films. Each hero is getting 20-30crs as remuneration while directors are getting 10-15crs. Even if they invest them in producing films, they should get their share in profits and they are demanding the producers for the same. Gone are the earlier days when producers used to call the shots. Now directors and stars are dictating the terms and deciding everything.
