Scary Situation In Andhra

To get government contracts, there was a time when heavy rush by the bidder used to be there. But the scenario in Andhra Pradesh has changed since 2019 with no contractors coming ahead to bid. The reason behind this pathetic situation seems to the contractors running behind the government officials for clearing their pending bills.

A report in Eenadu stated that the government has called in for contracts for 60 works in road projects in Prakasam district. However, only one bidder came forward and  surprisingly that person didn't qualify.

Even in the second time, only one bidder came in. Now, the officials are mulling to call for the tenders a third time. With Andhra Pradesh government giving freebies by getting loans, they are failing to clear the dues of the contractors thus such a poor response is coming in.
