Sad! Theatres Closed Due to Rs.10 Ticket!

This is the tragic side of a ruthless decision from a state government. It's known news that Jagan Reddy from AP brought a G.O. to implement normal prices of movie tickets. This G.O. actually came into force in 2013. According to this G.O., the A/C theatre tickets are priced at Rs.10, Rs.15 and Rs.20 in village panchayats. 

Since theatre managements can't pay theatre rentals and electricity bills with the too low collections with reduced prices, many Theatres from C centres across the state have been closed today. 

It's learnt that Surya Complex Theatres at Vakalapudi Panchayat near Kakinada closed today. Also, many Theatres at Madugula, Dharmavaram, Addaroad and Makavara Palem have been closed today. 

INOX is said to be the best multiplex of East and West Godavari districts. Until a few days ago, the tickets were sold for Rs.200 and s.150 for new releases in this multiplex. Did you know 'INOX' ticket price, today, in Kakinada? It's just Rs.80. How can the management make both ends meet with this cheap price of ticket? That's why, the regular shows number slashed to 14 instead of 20. 

If this sadistic G.O.remains to be in force for a few days, undoubtedly, all Theatres of AP would shut down.
