Vakeel Saab Brings New Hopes, But

The Coronavirus Second wave is ringing danger bells for Tollywood which is the only industry to reach the pre-COVID levels with multiple releases lined up for Summer. While small films ruled the roost until now, the summer is reserved for the biggies.

Things have changed drastically in the last few days. India is recording close to One Lakh cases every day. Films like Wild Dog and Rang De turned disasters. Under these circumstances, Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s comeback film Vakeel Saab hit the screens couple of days ago to positive response.

Directed by Venu Sriram, Vakeel Saab has been doing exceptional business at box office. It is proved that, neither corona nor any other factor can stop good films making wonders at ticket window. In fact, Vakeel Saab brought new hopes to the industry.

However, few films got postponed with a fear of negative impact of corona second wave on box office collections. The makers of Love Story have already announced to release the movie to next month. There are several other films which too got postponed due to corona second wave.

If things turn bad, the 50% clause will be back in Telugu states as well. Apparently, filmmakers of films ready for release fear of this aspect. Let’s hope, there won’t be any restrictions on seating capacity, as Tollywood is just getting back to normalcy!
