Love Story Out, But Competition Is Huge

Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer romantic entertainer Love Story got postponed another time due to Covid-19 second wave. The film directed by Sekhar Kammula was supposed to release in summer, last year. But, corona pandemic followed by lockdown forced the makers to postpone the film. Now, the film is pushed another time owing to second wave.

Though Love Story is out of Ugadi race, nearly six films will be hitting the screens on 16th of this month. Ram Gopal Varma’s long delayed project Deyyam starring senior hero Rajasekhar will be hitting the screens this Friday. AR Rahman’s production venture 99 Songs for which Rahman himself provided story along with James Cowley.

Apart from these, small time films like Checkmate, Itlu Anjali, Srvam Siddam and Tempt Raja. It’s quite common that, when a star hero or noted film gets postponed, filmmakers of small-time films opt to grab the slot. The question is can any of these films impress audiences under the testing times. Moreover, Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab is unstoppable at box office and its dream run is expected to continue in second week as well.
