Actress Annapoorna On Casting Couch

Casting couch has been a burning topic in film industry. The Me Too movement got the heat of the moment which made Sri Reddy to naming bigwigs of exploiting her. Later, actress Madhavi Latha too opined that casting couch exits in the industry and one needs to get compromise. Now, senior actress Annapoorna made sensational remarks on casting couch.

In an interview, actress Annapoorna asserted that casting couch exited back then too. "To avoid this I got married at the age of 20. I got offers as heroine but only did two films as a heroine and then later switched to mother roles and since then have been essaying mother roles,” she said.

Mistake Occurs From Two Sides

Actress Annapoorna also commented that mistake is always two sided. No one can force anyone to compromise. She added that casting couch exits everywhere and is prevalent in all industries and movie industry is no exception.  She however advised budding artistes that those who aspire to make big in this field, they are bound to have struggles.
