Centre Blind Eye! Chiru Deserves Padma & Phalke

Tamilians are proud of Superstar Rajinikanth as he received yet another prestigious award at the national level. A day ago, the union government conferred the highest award for films, Dada Saheb Phalke, to Rajinikanth. It must be recalled the centre gave away India's second biggest honour Padma Vibhushan to Rajini a few years ago. 

Though Rajini deserved both the awards for his stature, the centre made them election stunts adjudging the awards at the times of elections. 

Whenever Rajini is honoured with a prestigious award, obviously, all eyes turn towards Megastar Chiranjeevi. When Rajini is being given away the prestigious national awards, why shouldn't Chiranjeevi be given the same awards?

Chiranjeevi, as we all know, has seniority on par with Rajni. He has already been the recipient of Padma Bhushan and doctorate. He is the first hero to have been invited to the Oscars award ceremony among South heroes. He was the highest paid hero of India in 1993. Apart from delivering maximum industry hits for any hero of India, Chiranjeevi became the protagonist in many award winning films. Also, Chiranjeevi has stood the number one hero over the maximum decades that no hero of India ruled as a number one for that long period. 

In addition to the film industry, Chiranjeevi contributed to the paramount as a philanthropist. He established Chiranjeevi Blood & Eye Banks in 1998 and has been working relentlessly to ensure millions of people are benefited with his blood and eye banks. 

Taking another leaf in Megastar's book, he gave out his best as a union tourism minister. 

What more else to be needed by Chiranjeevi to receive India's highest awards? In fact, he deserves any supermost award of India including Bharat Ratna. 

Admit that Chiranjeevi denied to join the BJP as per their wish. But then, this factor shouldn't be the reason Chiranjeevi isn't considered for India's highest civilian awards. 

The centre should shed its intentional blind eye and adjudge Padma Vibhushan and Phalke awards to Chiranjeevi with immediate effect. If not, the awards lose their respect for sure.
