The new SEC Neelam Sahni released the election notification for the ZPTC and MPTC polls. As per the notification, the elections are scheduled on March 8, while March 9 is locked a reserved day while the counting of the votes will be done on 10th of March.

In what could be said a huge shocker is that Tdp is planning to step out of the elections. The Tdp leader Varla Ramayya met the SEC on Thursday evening and urged her to release a fresh notification scrapping the old one. However, the SEC turned down the request of Varla.

Sensing one more biggest defeat post the Panchayat and municipal elections, the Tdp high command has reportedly decided to stay away from contesting. The party alleges that the ruling YSRCP attempts to make maximum seats unanimous.

Meanwhile, in spite of the Tdp's unrest on the electioneering, the new SEC is busy working for the smooth conduct of the polls.
