There has been a lot of hue and cry from mega fans as Megastar Chiranjeevi's historical magnum opus Sye Raa Narasimhareddy was not considered for the national award. Instead of adjudging the award to this highly inspiring patriotic film, a few awards were conferred to the poorly made films that had below par choreography, not so well applauded content etc.
According to political analysts, the PM Narendra Modi was held responsible for Sye Raa missed out the national award. A few months ago, the union BJP leadership wished Chiranjeevi to take the leadership of AP BJP. But then, Megastar, didn't give his consent. Perhaps, this factor made Modi irked with Megastar' decision.
It is a common practice, even some national film awards are politically motivated while a few more deserved films are blantantly rejected due to 'hatred' factors and political decisions. As a result, Modi's factor could not be discarded Sye Raa missing out the national award.
In contrast, AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to have been inspired by the story, execution and performances in Sye Raa Narasimhareddy. That's why, he named Kurnool Airport as 'Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy' airport. It must be recalled that almost none of the AP people had known the history of Narasimhareddy until Chiranjeevi enacted in the film reprising the first freedom fighter of India.
All in all, it's understood that Modi had done injustice to Sye Raa while YS Jagan respected the film with his latest gesture.
