The Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum has been making headlines over the collaboration of Rana Daggubati and Pawan Kalyan. Since then speculations over its female leads were doing the rounds. Looks like, Saagar K Chandra has finally found the love interest for Pawan Kalyan in AK remake.
Malayalam beauty Nithya Menen has been finalized as the female lead opposite Pawan Kalyan. The makers have approached her and the latter also have her nod but she is yet to sign on the dotted lines. After Son of Satyamurthy in 2015, Nithya hasn’t signed any films in Tollywod, so starring in Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake could be major and much needed comeback.
For the unversed, Sai Pallavi was the frontrunner as the female lead from the beginning but since she was not able to accommodate her dates, the makers had to look out for her replacement. Looks like, now Sai Pallavi’s loss is Nithya Menen’s gain. On the other side, Aishwarya Rajesh is cast opposite Rana.
Nithya also has plans to turn director but she has asserted that direction is there on her mind. "Direction doesn't come with a time frame or plan. It will happen but before that there is a lot I have to do in acting," says Nithya. She also forayed into web series titled Breathe which also featured Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan.
