RRR Effect, Mahesh Shifts, What About PK?

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR release date got rescheduled several times and the film starring NTR and Ram Charan was announced to be released for Dussehra on October 13th. But, it seems, the film may not make it for the festival and will get postponed most probably to Sankranthi, 2022 as there are lots of pending works left to be completed and overseas market is not so encouraging.

It is also coming out that, makers of superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata are planning to shift the film’s release from Sankranthi to summer. Some say, the film may pushed to Dussehra as well. However, they will make an announcement, only after RRR new release date is announced officially. Keerthy Suresh is playing Mahesh Babu’s love interest in the commercial entertainer directed by Parasuram.

On the other hand, Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s tentatively titled film Hara Hara Veeramallu under the direction of Krish will also be releasing for Sankranthi, 2022. However, if RRR comes for the festival, then PK’s film may be shifted to other big season.

However, it is uncertain whether the makers of Pawan Kalyan’s film will agree to postpone the film, as they first announced the release date. Films like RRR needs solo release and they may have discussion with the makers of Hara Hara Veeramallu requesting them to postpone the film.

Tollywood is against releasing two big films in a same week, but Sankranthi is exception. So, we need to wait and see whether Pawan Kalyan will accept to postpone his film for Charan and Rajamouli!
