Surprises: Then Rangasthalam, Now Uppena

Mythri Movie Makers in no time became one of the leading production houses in Tollywood. Although they too scored flops, they have delivered some massive blockbusters. However, two films will remain to be very special ones for them. They are Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam and Vaishnav Tej’s Uppena.

Even Chiranjeevi was doubtful whether Rangasthalam become commercial hit, although he was quite confident Charan would win awards. The film directed by Sukumar went on to become a commercial hit, besides winning critical applause. The producers of Mythri Movie Makers too had their uncertainties over the project.

Then, recent release Uppena too was an unexpected blockbuster for them. They had qualms how audiences will receive the shocking twist in the climax. Fortunately, that didn’t affect the movie collections. The film directed by Sukumar’s protégé Buchi Babu Sana turned out to be a biggest blockbuster for a debut hero.

Meanwhile, Mythri Movie Makers has signed deals with many top stars of Tollywood for their next projects.
