What Happened To Star Director’s Son?

Star director Puri Jagannadh’s son Akash Puri who tasted bitter results with his first film Mehbooba directed by Puri himself is hoping to score his first hit with his second film Romantic. The film directed by first timer Anil Paduri and produced by Puri Jagannadh had completed its shoot long ago. But, there is no update about release date of the film.

The film was initially planned for release in summer, last year. However, like every other film, Romantic too got postponed due to corona lockdown. While many films which got postponed are gracing theatres in summer and other seasons this year, the makers of Romantic are maintaining silence.

There were reports that, Romantic co-starring Ketika Sharma will have direct release on digital platform. But, the makers are light lipped about it. In the meantime, Akash Puri signed his next film with George Reddy fame Niranjan Reddy. The film was launched recently.

Apparently, Puri is not in a hurry to release Romantic as there are numerous films releasing in summer and good number of films will be hitting the screens in every month, till end of this year. So, he might be looking for a safe zone for film’s release.
