Commemorating the International Day for the Mother Tongue, Telugu film supporting actor Ambarisha, who’s well known to create unique digital Telugu fonts, has given a unique tribute to lyricists Sirivennela Seetharamasastry and Veturi Sundararamamurthy. The actor has come up with two Telugu Unicode fonts in the name of the two legendary lyricists as part of a crowdfunding initiative.
The fonts named Veturi and Sirivennela were launched in the premises of the latter’s Sri Nagar Colony residence earlier on Sunday. “The Telugu script has always so intricate and beautiful since times immemorial. Ambarisha has been working hard to lend a beautiful dimension to the language through his digital fonts for many years. I was genuinely happy to see two Telugu fonts being launched in the name of two lyricists, one of them being named after me. It’s a privilege that the other font is named after Veturi garu, whom I revered as an idol even before I entered the industry,” exclaimed Sirivennela at the launch of the Unicode fonts.
Ambarisha has created over 30 Telugu Unicode fonts in recent years, available for public use and it has gained immense popularity among netizens. He was last seen in the Allari Naresh-hit Naandhi.
