Showbiz industry in the past had decorum as everything was transparent. Right from the distribution rates to heroes’ remuneration everything was fixed. As things progressed, heroes remuneration hiked, cost production increased thus budget increased. All in all industry people are happy. But at the end of the day who is carrying the burden? It is the common man who is paying the price.
Ticket Prices Hike
During Sankranthi, the ticket price was hiked from Rs 150 to Rs 200. Come April 9 wherein Vakeel Saab will hit the screens, then again the movie ticket price will be hiked. Since many films are in the line-up for release, then uniform price rates will be fixed. If this is the case in this scenario, then how about the pan-Indian film and the big-ticet films like Acharya, Radhe Shyam.
Above all is Rajamouli’s magnum-opus RRR, what would be the ticket price for it? At the end of the day, heroes are happy with their paycheque, producers are happy and so is the case with distributors who are getting back their money. The million dollar question is the industry which is minting money from audience pocket is increasing the burden on the common man only.
Is there no one to question them? How come actors and other industry bigwigs can unsee this? How fair is it to put burden on the common man and making him the scapegoat. The showbiz mints crores of money from audience pocket, is it justifible to hike the ticket prices at their whims and fancy?
