Sid Sriram Highest Paid Singer?

Name a singer who is the favourite of the masses in the current crop, without any second thoughts we get to hear Sid Sriram. With his mellifluous voice and many chartbusters to his credit, he is a name to reckon with in the music world. The latest talk in the showbiz is about Sid Sriram’s remuneration.

Apparently, late senior singer SP Balasubrahmanyam used to charge between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh for a song. And no other South singer has beaten SPB is the saying. Now, looks like Sid Sriram has surpassed the senior singer.

Sources in the know reveal that Sid Sriram is getting a paid Rs 6.5 lakh plus GST. This seems to have added Sid Sriram in the bracket of highest paid singer.  Generally popular local singers in the City get paid between Rs 15,000 to Rs 50,000. In fact, popular singer Anurag Kulkarni doesn’t charge beyond Rs 1 lakh is the talk. However, Sid Sriram seems to be making the most of his popularity before it gets late.

Currently, Sid Sriram has been approached for Naga Shaurya’s film to croon ‘Varudu Kavalenu’ and the music composer is Vishal Chandrasekhar. Sid Sriram touches down Hyderabad for the recording and flies back to Chennai. Well, the other singers may need to take a leaf out of Sid Sriram.
